About the Osprey Rook 50

The Osprey Rook features the most advanced tech to keep backpackers and trekkers comfortable, supported, and ventilated on multiday trips and adventures.

The Rook's innovative AirSpeed™ mesh backpanel is adjustable, highly ventilated, and allows an extremely comfortable and supportive carry however heavy your load is. AirSpeed™ backpanels work by suspending mesh over a large airflow cavity and easing your body into the pack's hipbelt and lumbar area.

To provide additional comfort during long days on the trail, there is a highly padded hipbelt, whilst compression straps allow the pack's volume to be cinched down to increase stability. A ladder-lock system also allows you to adjust the torso length to whatever fit suits you, whilst dual load-lifter points keep the harness secure for people who require longer fits.

Inside the main compartment, you'll find ample room for bulkier items and a separate sleeping bag base compartment with a divider. External PowerMesh™pockets on the side provide easy access to water bottles, maps, or other quick-grab essential items. A zipped top lid compartment and dual hip-belt pockets provide convenient storage for other essentials.

The Rook is compatible with hydration systems and Osprey’s Daylite daypacks. Simply attach one of Osprey’s Daylite bags to the back of the Rook to expand your volume on the trail and give you a smaller backpack to use for short expeditions from your camp.

The Rook features the best tech for maximum comfort and support with plenty of options for storing all the gear you need and more! In a durable, protective package for your multi-day outdoor expeditions.
