The Tempest Velocity embodies the renowned multi-sport versatility promised by the Tempest name, elevating speed and efficiency for pursuits ranging from setting personal records to conquering peaks. Featuring a running-vest-inspired harness, a flexible back panel, and a lightweight design, the Tempest Velocity sets the premium standard for the do-it-all daypack.
The Tempest Velocity features two size back lengths, an XS/S and an M/L. Osprey's innovative design allows for up to four inches of torso adjustment, ensuring an uncompromised fit and function for this hybrid pack.
AirScape foam forms the basis of the back panel of the pack, including mesh EVA foam on an Atilon framesheet which wraps around your contours for efficient load transfer and unparallelled breathability. This combines with a Biostretch Hipbelt with seamless lumbar body wrapping for further comfort. The v Velocity also features breathable Spacermesh for cushioning and ventilation, mitigating hot spots while keeping wearers cool even during the hottest conditions. BioStretch and Spacermesh technology is also found in the running vest-inspired harness which promotes further all-day comfort.
A range of additional features allows the Tempest Velocity to be the perfect all-activity backpack. Stow-on-the-Go allows you to stash walking poles without needing to remove the bag, for those times when you need both hands for a scramble. For those who embrace harsher environments, ice-axe attachment is also possible, allowing you to carry winter hardware effortlessly.
Two stretch pockets on the side of the pack allow fast access to snacks and GPS units, whilst there is an additional stretch stash compartment on the left side and a zippered one on the right of the hip belt, great for items such as wallets and keys. There are also pockets/compartments specifically designed to hold a 500ml flask, your phone and even a helmet. For those who have a preference for a reservoir over a water bottle, the pack is hydration system compatible (bladder not included).
The Velocity is the do-everything hill walking and mountain bag. Ideal for ascents as tame as Scafell Pike in summer to those harsh winter climbs like Tryfan in winter. A lovely compromise in size between a backpacking pack and a large daypack, the bag is perfect for both days in the hills and overnight bivy camps.

I like the pockets on the front but not keen on the fastening for the flap on top of the main back pocket. If the rucksack is not full it is not at all tight. Will be interesting to see how it works for a full day walking. Also the pocket on the inside of this flap doesn't seem to be very useful (but I don't mind this too much as wouldn't put anything there anyway - unless it had a zip) Zipped pocket inside main bag is useful for purse/keys etc. Could improve pockets on front if you could tighten them instead of just having a tab on them.
