The Women's Calcite Jacket is Patagonia's ultimate technical shell jacket built to keep you dry and protected on alpine ascents and backcountry adventures. It's made from packable 2.5-layer Gore-Tex Paclite® Plus fabric with a 100% recycled polyester face, making it windproof, waterproof and highly breathable.

The multi-layered laminate construction of Gore-Tex Paclite® Plus fabric is designed to give you the full protection of Gore-Tex while remaining as lightweight and packable as possible. A Gore-Tex membrane is bonded to an outer shell material and works to seal out wind and water while promoting good airflow and a well-regulated body temperature. Hot air and moisture vapour can pass through the layers and escape through tiny micro-pores in the membrane, while the outer shell creates a fully waterproof seal against the elements.

This state of the art technology makes for an incredibly protective yet lightweight shell that's ideal for all kinds of outdoor pursuits, all year round. The Calcite Jacket can also be easily packed down and stowed away among your gear, so it's always ready for when the weather turns.

As well as the incredible weather protection provided by the Gore-Tex Paclite® Plus fabric, the Calcite Jacket is finished with a DWR (durable water repellent) coating, which works to improve the lifespan of the garment and enhance weatherproofing. All zippers, including those on the pockets and underarm vents, are also finished with DWR, to create a protective seal around the wearer, ensuring this jacket will stand up to heavy rain, howling wind and sudden snowstorms.
