Ideal for wet alpine climates and heavy weather, the Galvanized Jacket from Patagonia is built with 3-layer 100% recycled polyester face fabric and a recyclable barrier and backer to create lightweight yet breathable protection from heavy rain.
This versatile waterproof jacket combines H2No® Performance Standard waterproof/breathable protection with next-to-skin comfort - perfect for all outdoor pursuits. The lightweight 3-layer shell fabric blends recycled polyester and spandex, giving a tremendous amount of stretch so the jacket moves with the body and allows for uninhibited freedom of movement. An engineered fabric pattern minimises the seams and eliminates all seaming entirely across the shoulders and back, for maximum stretch and no abrasion when worn under a harness or backpack.
Inside, the soft, jersey-knit backer gives amazing comfort on the skin and wicks moisture away from the body. The premium Galvanized jacket is not only built with a state of the art triple-layered shell but is also coated with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish and fitted with water-tight zips to give you ultimate waterproofing, no matter how hard it's raining.
Other practical features include a helmet-compatible Optimal Visibility Hood, which offers optimum coverage and comfort whether your are wearing a helmet or not, and adjusts with a single-pull Cohaesive embedded cord-lock system. Another of these Cohaesive cord-lock systems in the hem allows for easy one-handed adjustment to pull the hem in tight and seal out the elements. Lined hand warmer pockets ride high above the waistline so they don't interfere with harnesses or pack waist straps.
