The Alpinist Walk Crampon from Salewa gives you an alpine crampon with a versatile design that fits a wide range of footwear, from adult down to junior sizes.
The low profile keeps the foot closer to the rock or ice giving you greater control while the sharpened steel points make short work of hard ice. Tool-free adjustment in the base makes it quick and convenient to size. A flexible attachment system uses plastic cradles in the heel and toe to wrap the boots. This system is designed to fit a broad spectrum of footwear and does not require welted toe or heels to function. A single strap adjustment holds the crampon in place and prevents accidental loss should it become separated from your footwear.
Underfoot, twelve steel points provide traction over icy routes while a multi-ply stainless steel flex regulation bar works like suspension, providing dynamic movement that allows the crampon to flex with the foot as you climb. The two parts are designed to fit together - points inward - to be stowed safely when not in use.
The Alpinist Combi features anti-balling plates. This pro-active design works to prevent the build-up of wet snow and ice underfoot, which can otherwise render the crampon's grip ineffective and lead to slips and falls.
The low weight makes them great for the fast-moving alpinist negotiating challenging ascents on back-country ski tours, winter hill walks and high alpine traverses.
The Salewa Alpinist Walk Crampon delivers durable construction with a practical design to give you a product you can rely on to help get you to the top and safely back again.
