About the Salewa Rapace GTX

The Rapace GTX from Salewa is a versatile, lightweight and comfortable crampon-compatible boot, ideal for weight-conscious mountain hikers and via ferratas mountaineering

The upper is made from hard-wearing nubuck and fabric and features a 360° full rubber rand for extra protection and support in areas that are most vulnerable to scrapes and scratches. The Rapace GTX features Salewa's 3F System which binds the heel, instep and sole of the boot together for flexible support. These boots are lined with Gore-Tex Performance Comfort Lining so regardless of the weather, your feet will remain dry.

The Rapace GTX features a Bilight TPU midsole which has been designed for long-lasting and ergonomic cushioning, this has been paired with a Vibram WTC outsole for amazing traction and grip with a natural feel. For crampon compatibility, the Rapace GORE-TEX is stiff enough to take semi-automatic crampons.
