The Salomon Pioneer MIPS is an awesome ski/snowboard helmet that offers premium construction, comfort and a low-profile fit that give effortless style and protection on the mountain.
This model of Salomon's super popular Pioneer helmet is now even better, coming with MIPS technology. This integrated protection system reduces the rotational forces exerted on the brain during a collision and offers superior protection and injury prevention. This is done by creating a sliding layer between the outer shell and your head. During impacts the rotational force is decreased reducing damage to the brain which is best to counter angled, rotational falls.
Constructed using Salomon's unique In-Mold Shell construction which blends an in-mold shell with their patented EPS 4D base, which absorbs and disperses oblique and vertical shocks and is effective against both straight-on and glancing impacts. This construction allows Salomon to reduce the weight and profile of the helmet without compromising on safety or performance.
The Advancedskin lining gives an incredibly comfortable feel whilst also providing climate control, managing moisture and, alongside the active ventilation, regulating your temperature.
