About the Salomon Shift Pro 90 W

The new for 2021 Salomon Shift Pro ski boot range is all about freeride performance without compromising your downhill ride. With tech that enables comfortable walking and classic alpine flex, the Shift Pro is built on the S/Pro form factor with a medium fitting 100mm last width. The Shift Pro 90 W combines all the same technology found in the regular Shift Pro but is specifically designed to suit women, making for a better fit and increased comfort.

Salomon has built these boots to be both strong and light. Race-inspired ski boots are often heavy, this stems from the need to ensure rigidity throughout the boot. Salomon has avoided this weight by creating their Core-Frame reinforcement which stiffens the midfoot. As this key area is strengthened, Salomon has been able to shave weight throughout the rest of the shell. As a result, the boot weighs in at under 1700 grams, perfect for improving efficiency and helping reduce fatigue when touring uphill

The shell of the Shift Pro ski boots is made from Salomon’s Custom Shell HD material which can be reliably customised during the heat fitting process to comfortably accommodate the wearer’s feet, meaning users with wider feet can still enjoy the freeride capabilities of the Shift Pro.

Being a tour compatible boot it features grip walk soles for extra traction, which can be interchangeable to regular alpine soles, and front pin mounts for compatibility with pin binding setups such as the Salomon Shift binding. The Shift Pro also features the surelock walk mechanism carried over from the previous S/Lab MTN ski boot, which allows a 45-degree range of motion to allow for efficient walking when hiking uphill.

Due to the race-inspired performance and the medium 90 flex, these boots are most suitable for the intermediate skier or advanced users with a lighter frame that will benefit from a slightly more forgiving flex.

This boot is designed to provide the ultimate freeride experience being just comfortable going uphill as it is blasting down. It maintains a lightweight construction but still offers great feedback and support whilst all formed around a medium fitting 100mm last width.

Features Include

  • Sense Amplifier Cuff - Quick response and a great on snow feel
  • Micro Adjusting 3D buckles - Get the best fit and closure with micro-adjustable buckles

  • 360 35mm Strap - Creates a firm cuff closure for maximum power transfer
  • Binding Compatibility - Compatible with all standard alpine bindings under ISO 9523 and bindings marked as MNC (Multi-norm compatible)
