How to Measure Your Back
Montane backpacks are fitted on back length. This is measured from your C7 vertebrae (the boney protrusions when tipping your head forwards) to the centre of the hip bone (where you 'put your hands on your hips'). It is useful to have a friend help with this measurement.
Running Packs and Vests
Due to the close fitting nature of these packs and vests, Montane use chest measurements to determine the correct size.
In Our Opinion
The Montane size chart is accurate and reliable and your backpack will fit if you refer to the measurements given. We are confident in the fit of Montane backpacks because:
● They have gone to the trouble of preparing this size information!
● We have tried them ourselves, in a full range of models and sizes.
● We see customers testing for size in our Mountain Sports Shop
● We have been selling them for years!
