About the Vans Skate Authentic

The Skate Authentic is based of the first shoe Vans produced in 1966 - they sold 12 on their first day direct from their factory. It was soon on the feet of all the skateboarders across California due to its durability and unbelievable board feel and grip. It still looks and feels just as good today whether your shredding at the park or trying to impress the girls.

The upper is made from seude/canvas with padded collars for extra support, a new sidewall finish and checkerboard flag for an iconic style that skaters will definitely appreciate. The new DURACAP reinforcement rubber shape has been revised to offer improved breathability and durability to help protect against wear and tear, making these shoes perfect for everyday use.

Now fitted with a PopCush footbed to provide extra cushioning for supreme comfort and impact absorption, adding that extra energised pop you need when skateboarding. The two-part foxing, featuring a tougher toe knurl pattern, ensuring heightened board contact, improved durability and ofcourse retain that heritage look.

The gum rubber sole has been completely redesigned for even better grip with the all new SickStick rubber compound. The new SickStick rubber outsole has vertical thread extensions for sharper rubber edges and increased tread depth, this will extend the life of the shoes for longer wear and powerful grip. The Skate Authentic also features tongue straps to keep the tongue in place for a locked in fit and the internal heel shank delivers even more grip, more board-feel, more support, and more durability!
