I had the older model of these - they lasted a long time but when they eventually got too battered I thought they were so good I bought the new version. Best features: *They are really light! *Flip-lock system is good; easier to use with gloves on than twisting mechanisms, never had a problem with it slipping in icy weather yet. *This new 'women specific' model is lighter than my old version (probably because they don't extend quite so long - be aware of that if you're tall) *This new version come in left and right pole pairs, I'm guessing to make handles mm ore ergonomic. Only criticism is this isn't written on top of the grips (just on end of wrist loop straps) so easy to get wrong way round in use. Plus might reduce longevity or sharability of pair?
