The Pilot Rock Climbing Ascender is a sophisticated handheld ascender designed for efficient movement along fixed lines. The highly durable cast steel cam offers 17 teeth for a solid grip on the rope. The aluminium alloy frame is incredibly light, yet tough and durable. It offers a long rope channel for a better performance on traverses.
The Pilot also offers an ergonomically designed thermo-molded handle that provides great insulation as well as fantastic grip even when wet. This makes the Pilot perform just as good outside when the weather can be questionable! This handle extends down and around the bottom hole to provide a wide radius that reduces wear on webbing, making it easier on the rope.
A Quick Link or locking carabiner may also be used to attached slings and the low profile thumb release requires only two actions to open and one to automatically lock shit. This provides additional safety as well as incredible ease as it can be operated with either hand.
