About the Faction Prodigy 2

The Faction Prodigy 2.0 come in at 98mm making these skis super stable all mountain freestyle shred tools! The design behind these is all about playfulness, fun, and inbound versatility. The waist width which is great for riders looking to take their freestyle between the park, pistes, variables, and streets. This is a great resort ski for those that want to ride a variety of conditions.

The Prodigy 2.0 is less park focused than the 1.0 model, as such it can handle more variation of snow types than its smaller brother. Riders looking for an accessible yet strong ski for all mountain performance will fin nothing lacking in the Prodigy 2.0.

These skis draw their strength from 3 key areas. The first of these being the poplar wood core, this full wood core gives a flex that is both playful but firm enough to give edge hold during powerful turns. Secondly, a full sidewall construction moves energy from the skier to the snow and makes for more accurate and precise turns. Finally, the profile creates a ride which is full of energy underfoot with the added benefit of the easy maneuverability from the early rise tips and tails.

The use of rocker in the tips and tails also adds to the fun factor and the versatility of these skis. Rocker allows the tip to flow over cut up and soft snow.

We would recommend this model for intermediate through to advanced riders looking for a versatile freestyle ski that can handle a variety of resort conditions and range of inbound terrain.

Features Include
  • Poplar Core - Softwood Poplar is soft and poppy for a playful ski with stiffness underfoot
  • Directional Twin - A great blend between freestyle and downhill performance
  • Full Strength Sidewall Construction - Sidewalls are great for grip and ski stability. They also help dampen vibration and disperse impact through the ski to make the ride more comfortable
  • Die-Cut PTEX 3000 - This sintered base material is fast and is more porous than other materials so holds wax better
  • Anti-Chip Micro-Cap - The topsheet is slightly rolled over the topsheet to protect this area which is otherwise sensitive to damage
  • XL 2.5 mm Edges - Extra thick edges provide extra durability for riders who jib and hit rails
  • Rocker/Camber/Rocker - Rocker tip & tail with 3mm camber blends stability, edge hold and maneuverability
  • Elliptical Radius Sidecut - Two different radii along a single edge. This combines both agility and stability to create a smooth turn with no drag
  • Surf Zones - The rocker has been designed alongside the taper to give a smooth and surfy ride in all conditions
  • Flax Stringers - Composite strips which are both stronger and lighter than the fibreglass that they replace. Faction use these fibers to provide lightweight dampening
