Grivel's North Machine was designed with the technical alpinist in mind. The performance construction features a single piece, hot forged steel pick with a tapered 3mm tip for greater penetration on tough ice. The North Machine's modular design allows you to replace worn blades and change from adze to hammer with ease.
A gentle curve just below the head allows greater clearance in tight spots and permits easier anchoring in varied terrain. The hot forged base point penetrates tough snow conditions for anchor points and offers support on approaches. An ergonomic G Bone shamed shaft utilises a rubber grip for added traction and comfort.
From the winter Highlands to spring in the San Juans, the Grivel North Machine Ice Axe gives you technical climbing performance in under 500 grams with the benefit of a modular design.
*This model is supplied with the Grivel Hammer variant.
