The Line Sick Day series is back for 2018 and it’s bigger and #MoreFunner than ever! For 2018, Line have introduced an 88mm waist version, to make their all mountain freeride collection more accessible than ever before. The Sick Day 88 is ideal for progressing intermediates through to expert skiers looking for an all mountain resort ripper.
With a waist width under 90mm the Sick Day 88 is an exciting and nimble ski that will cover all of your piste needs whilst also having ample waist width to cope with varied sidecountry terrain that will leave you gleefully whooping down the mountain. The Aspenlite core produces a natural and directional flex that is easy to engage and powerful in the turn. Capwall construction runs the length of the ski for a mixture of power and liveliness, it is easy to get onto edge but also grippy throughout, perfect for all mountain cruising and charging.
A 5-cut geometry, blending 5 different radii shapes into the sidecut of the ski, giving you no boundaries with your turn shapes. The directional flex allows for easy turn initiation as well as allowing you to just bound through the bumps and jumps whilst the flat, stiffer tail gives you superior stability, power and speed control.
The 2018 Sick Day series combines stiff flexes and playful tips that are intuitive through bumps and chopped snow and feel comfortable at all speeds and in all turn shapes. They float well through the range and the snappy personality is perfect for fast rebound out of carves or getting airborne off of bumps and side hits depending on your skiing style. If you're looking for the most fun all-mountain skis around, then you need to take a Sick Day.
Capwall Construction - A combined cap and sidewall construction blends the stability and edge hold of a sidewall ski with the low weight and maneuverability of a cap construction for the best of both
Aspenlite Macroblock™ Core - 100% Aspen for the lightest, most nimble sensation
5Cut Geometry - 5-radius sidecut to give the ski perfect control no matter how much edge you are on
Directional Flex - Softer tips float in powder and initiate turns easier while a stiffer tail provides stability, power and high speed control
Thin Tip - The core and sidewall are thinned out in the tips to reduce overall weight by 100 grams. The reduces swing weight and makes the ski more lively and responsive
Early Taper - The ski tapers earlier in the tip and tail to reduce drag and prevent the ski hooking up in powder
