About the Metolius Magnum

The Metolius Magnum crash pad is a giant 3-panelled bouldering mat that will cover plenty of ground for you to concentrate on your boulder projects knowing you are protected underneath.

Its 3-panel design with angled hinges allows the enormous pad to fold up compactly for easy transportation to the crag; angled hinges eliminate gutters found on many folding pads. 3 layers of foam absorb impacts; features 1 in. of closed-cell foam on top, 2.5 in. of open-cell foam in the center and 0.5 in. of closed-foam on the bottom. A tough exterior fabric stands up to regular use outdoors and a carpeted logo gives you a place to wipe your shoes clean. Drag handles make it easy to move when on the go.

Its closure flap cleverly reverses when the pad is in use to protect the padded shoulder straps from the ground. The carrying straps include a webbing waist belt to evenly spread the load of the pad around. Stash your shoes and more inside the folded pad when transporting it around and put your smaller essentials in a good sized exterior stash pocket.
