About the Osprey Soelden Pro Avy 32
Named after the Austrian Ski resort of the same name, the Soelden Pro Avy has been specially designed for skiers, snowboarders, and alpinists looking to push their limits in the winter mountains.
The Soelden Pro 32 is a fully-featured alpine touring mountain backpack. Featuring a back panel entry into the main compartment, coupled with a quick access avalanche safety kit pocket, the pack ensures you are fully equipped for a full day in the mountains.
The avalanche safety pocket is entered via a J-zip for rapid access to your emergency equipment. Utilising sleeves for probes and shovel handles, the pack ensures that vital life-saving equipment is easily identified and accessed. When on the move, a single hip belt pocket and gear loop keep essential items close at hand.
With both diagonal and side ski carry and vertical snowboard carry options, the pack caters to both snow sports disciplines. To ensure the pack remains organised and its contents can be accessed hassle-free, it features a radio pouch, a water bottle pocket, and a side access, scratch-free goggles pocket.
Equipped with the Alpride E2 Electronic Airbag that provides a comfortable and stable fit, the pack gives you peace of mind that should a situation occur in avalanche terrain you have the capabilities to deal with it.
The Alpride E2 Airbag is a fully electronic avalanche airbag famed for its reliability. Using supercapacitor technology to replace the traditional Li-ion battery, the airbag system is not sensitive to low temperatures, resulting in the same dependable performance from -30°C to +40°C.
As an electronic avy system, the E2 can be recharged easily using a micro-USB port in 20 minutes. Should you have needed to deploy the system in the mountains the E2 can also be recharged in 40 minutes with a AA battery.
Weighing just 1.28kg, the E2 is widely regarded as the lightest electronic airbag of its kind. With a compact and lightweight design, this Alpride airbag is the perfect companion for those quick jaunts away where, unlike gas alternatives, the system can be deactivated for transit.
As with all avalanche airbags, the Soelden features a secure leg loop and metal hip belt buckle to ensure the pack will not slip off your back in the event of an emergency.
