About the Petzl Progress
The Progress Lanyard is designed for rope progression. The dynamic rope construction limits the energy transmitted to the user during a limited fall (Do not go above the anchor point).
The fall indicator featured on the lanyard will let the user know when the product should be retired and swapped for a new one… Pretty handy, right? When the lanyard is subjected to a major fall (improper use), the coloured stitching disappears. This is your indicator!
The long arm should be used with an ASCENSION handled rope clamp for progression on a rope. The Short arm is for clipping in when passing intermediate anchors.
The Y shape design allows connection when progressing along a fixed line. The ends are equipped with a plastic sheath that holds the connector in place whilst protecting the webbing from abrasion.
