About the Salomon Stance 80

Salomon has introduced these directional metal laminate all-mountain skis to bridge the gap between their notorious on-piste carvers and their more playful QST freeride range. The Stance 84 + M10 GW is designed to go everywhere whilst ensuring a butter-smooth ride at any speed on any snow condition.

Measuring 77mm at the waist, this ski sits comfortably in the all-mountain ski category. With its wide rockered tips and tail, it can easily jump from on piste charging to gliding over deeper snow found between trees or under chairlifts. That rocker keeps turn initiations smooth and simple and, along with camber underfoot, keeps the hardpack performance impressive all over. Being slightly slimmer than Stance's bigger brothers, this ski would be suitable for a user who enjoys laying down strong carves on fresh groomers and occasionally cuts off piste on fresh powder days.

Stance 77 uses the latest construction and technology to be a powerful directional carver. A full poplar wood core sandwiched between carbon windows and a Titanal laminate plus a full race-inspired sidecut is an extremely durable and stable formula, making the Stance 96 a brilliant on-piste carver on fresh groomers. As a result, the Stance 77 gives you confidence anywhere on the mountain regardless of speed, terrain, or conditions.

The core is enclosed by a Full Sandwich. This is a construction that gives grip but also prevents the tips and tails from catching during turns. Therefore, riders can get right onto the edges without having to worry about being thrown about by the ski. This comes in super handy when practicing high-performance turns.

Stance 77 has a rounded flex pattern and moderate softness in the tip then ramps up towards the center. Then, the tail is slightly stiffer than the tip. This makes it easy to engage and hold turns on and off the piste at any speed and makes it more poppy and lively when transitioning from left to right.

The Stance 77 is an all-mountain beast. It has great stability, responsiveness, and precision to give you the confidence to improve your skillset anywhere on the mountain.
