About the Vango Krypton UL2
The Krypton UL2 joins Vango's F10 Alpine Lite Collection of alpine-ready tents crafted for fast and light backcountry missions and high-mileage trail hikes where low pack weight is key.
The Krypton UL2 is a two-person tent built for 4-season camping and hiking. The geodesic pole architecture features high-quality Yunan Alloy poles with 5 crossover points providing a strong, free-standing structure with all-season stability. The Krypton UL 2 tent is quick and easy to pitch (avg. 10 mins) with an offset inner height giving you added headroom for comfort and ease of movement and also allowing for a streamlined, wind-shedding design. The inner pitches first and can be used as a standalone canopy where conditions allow.
On the inside, there's room for 2 people with a wide O-shaped door on either side providing hassle-free access and protection from changeable winds. A vestibule on either side gives you added storage space for packs and footwear. Part mesh inner doors allow bug-free ventilation and moisture management in warmer weather.
Pockets help organise smaller essentials with high-level pockets coming in handy for holding lighting and other items. Additional features include high-strength Dyneema Core guylines for added stability with Dyneema pegging points that can be modified to accommodate skis or snow anchors in winter conditions.
As part of the Force 10 line, the Krypton UL features the highest-performance fabrics with an ultralight 15D ripstop nylon flysheet with taped seams and silicone/PU treatment for lasting rain protection. The floor is made from a tough 70D ripstop nylon-6 for a great balance of low weight and high durability, waterproof to 6000mm HH.
