About the Burton Family Tree Gril Master
The Burton Gril Master snowboard is a pure passion project as part of the renowned Family Tree line, in remembrance of Marko 'Grilo' Grilc.
Grilo was a long time Burton team rider and all round hero in the world of snowboarding. Before his fatal accident, Grilo was in the design process of creating a mellow snowboard that could be used by fellow rad parents whilst out cruising the mountain with the entire family, but also stealthy enough for solo laps.
He envisioned a board that encompassed his passion for snowboarding and his family values. He sadly didn't get to finalise the design, so Burton leaned on his wife and children to bring his idea to life.
Made using premium materials and a whole host of tech to keep it super strong, light, and fast, the Gril Master LTD uses Burton's Channel system to keep you locked to the board. The Channel offers complete freedom for you to set up your angles and stance width with no restrictions. Burton tests The Channel to the limit and has proven that it can hold twice the amount of force that is set by the governing body.
The Gril Master creates a floaty, but snappy feel thanks to the strong wood core and fibreglass layers. Working alongside the Squeezebox tech makes it super snappy as the board is thicker at the top and bottom of each Channel to improve pop and keep a soft feel underfoot.
The Gril Master utilizes Burton's directional camber profile. This profile is the perfect balance of stability and manoeuvrability alongside the tapered 15mm Freeride Directional shape due to the longer nose, shorter tail and set back stance allowing for super stable pinpoint turns for those pesky tree lines with loads of float in the nose when the white stuff gets deep.
To make sure you keep going and take to the skies, the Gril Master comes with a full WFO sintered base which will keep you going good and fast all season.
This board is for those who are looking for a do it all board, from pushing their freeride mountain riding to cruising laps with the family. Riders that like to explore powder fields, and blast down the groomers will love the Burton Family Tree Gril Master snowboard.

- Squeezebox - A wavy core which is thicker at the beginning and end of the channel which are the areas that take all the pressure when loading up on an ollie. The thickness adds more snap which will lead to a more responsive pop
- Dualzone™ EGD™ - Wood grain is positioned along the toe and heel edges on two continuous zones, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for consistent edge-hold and added strength
- 45° Carbon Fibreglass - Layers of carbon fibreglass throughout the core profile create a super strong, light and responsive board feel
- Sintered WFO base - The pores of the wood are larger meaning that it holds onto wax longer
- Infinite Ride™ - Overbuilding the board and then using a machine to break the board in meaning its ready to ride as soon as you get it and will last season after season
- The Channel - Rather than using a 4x4 system, Burton have introduced the Channel. A system which allows you to fully adjust your stance width and angles. Your bindings will have to be compatible with the Channel and conversion discs can be bought separately. Burton offer a 3 year warranty on all boards with the Channel
- Freeride Directional Shape - Features a setback camber and a sidecut that is centred on your stance to create a twin freestyle stance when riding flat base, and on edge, it turns tight and quick with the float and prowess of a directional deck
- 15mm Taper - Provides a versatile ride that promotes free and easy turns, making this board perfect for riding in any condition Directional Camber Bend has camber under both feet for stability through deep-diving turns and variable conditions and a rockered nose that adds lift for increased float
