The Family Tree Leader Split Snowboard is Burton's hard charging splitboard that excels everywhere, be it powder, the steeps or generally making the most of whatever terrain that you are faced with.

The Leader Board is part of Burton's Family Tree collection. This freeride-focused series of snowboards is aimed at creating the very best big-mountain backcountry experience for all riders. These boards often use limited and experimental shapes that are designed to make the most of all backcountry conditions and terrain types, ranging from deep powder and tight tree lines, to choppy crud and steep alpine faces. As a result, these boards are packed with Burton's latest and very best construction technologies, and the Leader Board is certainly no exception.
Burton supply an easy splitboard setup with their strong, convenient and adjustable Split Channel. Waving goodbye to days of compromise, Burton's Split Channel features pre-mounted pucks for easy setup and allows for fine-tuning throughout the season.

The Leader Board comes with the Super Fly II 700G Core, Burton's mid range core which provides the best combination of strength, power, precision, pop and - ultimately - fun! Weighing in at just 700 grams, this is one of the lightest cores on the market but boasts an impressive strength to weight ratio that lends the Leader Board an effortless and controlled surfy feel.

Added to this is Dualzone EGD wood grain and and Squeezebox technology, which keeps the board ready for anything. It is strong, durable, lightweight, and has superior edge-hold, to keep you planted and stable, manipulating turns with incredible ease. Squeezebox tech is effective in all conditions, making uneven terrain that much easier to ride.

The Leader Board adopts a directional camber profile with entry rocker, which causes the nose to lift while camber under the feet maintains momentum and stability through deep-driving turns and variable conditions. A tapered shape with a wide, sweeping nose makes for effortless float and promotes smooth turning in deep snow.

With a wide waistline, directional construction and balanced freeride geometry, the Leader splitoard gives incredible control and stability at high speeds and in any terrain.
