A deep rope basket will allow for smoother rope action whilst extra metal placed at the nose of the biner adds extra protection against accidental gate opening when the biner brushes against rock. Its offset wire evens out the load and also contributes to reducing the risk of gate opening.
The Spectre 2 biners are constructed with I-Beam construction to reduce weight while retaining strength of 24kN when closed.
