The replacement UltraPress Purifier Cartridge from Grayl gives you a backup filter for when your current one reaches the end of its lifespan.
The UltraPress filter cartridge uses an ion exchange and activated carbon filter system to filter and purify water from uncertain sources. The ion exchange captures pathogens (i.e. viruses, protozoa, bacteria) as dirty water is forced through the purifier media. At the same time, the activated carbon absorbs chemicals, heavy metals, flavours and odours. The result is purified water that is safe to drink. Filter cartridge only, bottle sold separately.
