About the Lorpen T3 Lightweight Hiker ECO
Lorpen's T3 Light Hiker ECO is a technical women's sock packed full of the latest footwear technology and made from recycled fishing nets, ensuring the natural world remains unspoilt for your enjoyment.
Constructed with Coolmax fabrics, the special multi-channel fibre forms a transport system that pulls moisture away from the skin to the outer layer of the fabric, drying quickly to help thermoregulate the body by cooling you off. The Coolmax fabric is coupled with Lycocell, a fibre sourced from sustainable Eucalyptus farms, offering increased moisture management whilst feeling soft and smooth against the skin.
Reinforced against friction and chaffing, theT3 Light Hiker ECO is exceptionally designed to keep you cool, fresh and comfortable on hikes up mountains, treks over fells and dales, or on long country walks during the Spring, Summer and Autumn when the heat rises.
- Materials: 44% Red-Cycled Nylon, 29% Coolmax EcoMade, 16% Stretch Nylon with Lycra, 11% Tencel
- Coolmax: Coolmax® fabrics are made from specially engineered polyester fibres from ADVANSA with an increased surface area. This special four-channel or six-channel fibre forms a transport system that pulls moisture away from the skin to the outer layer of the fabric. It then dries that moisture faster than other fabrics to thermoregulate the body by evaporative cooling.
- Lycocell (Tencell): Cellulose fibre made from Eucalyptus trees grown on certified sustainable farms. The very fine internal fibre structure of Tencel® offers exceptional moisture transport, storage and drying capabilities. It's extremely smooth surface feels very soft and pleasant to the skin. Lyocell (Tencel)® is used as the middle layer of our Tri-Layer sock collections where aerobic activities require very effective moisture management capabilities.
- T3 Technology: Three layers that deliver top technical performance: a hydrophobic layer thread in contact with the skin that expels sweat and keeps the skin dry; a hydrophilic layer thread in the outer midsection that wicks sweat away from the skin; and a strong layer thread that protects areas exposed to friction.
