About the Salewa Ortles Master 30cm
The innovative Ortles Master Cord from Salewa sets the standards high for alpine climbing and technical mountaineering.
With a high breaking strength of more than 15 kN, its hybrid construction uses ultra-high molecular weight (UHMW) polyethene in the core – a material lighter and stronger than both Steel and Kevlar. The combination of Polyethene and Polyamide in the protective sheath provides exceptional strength and knotability.
The Master Cord 6 mm pre-cut lengths have sealed and rounded ends and are ready to use in a wide range of situations, including making prusik loops, creating anchors and abseil rigs, and threading slings and hourglasses.
These cords are colour-coded with a uniform colour system for fast and easy identification. The primary colours green, blue, red or grey indicate the length of the cords.
