About the Salewa Speed Queen
Lightweight, thin and impregnated with Dry Tech, the Speed Queen from Salewa aims to meet the demands of fast and light climbers and mountaineers.
With a 9.1 diameter coupled with a compact sheath, allows the Speed Queen to have superb flexibility and handling. To further the rope's longevity and performance Salewa has impregnated the Speed Queen with Dry Tech. A bespoke impregnation from Salewa that allows the Speed Queen to be more resistant to water, dirt and abrasion, this allows the rope to perform in all conditions from glorious summer sunshine to wet winter conditions.
Despite its bomber design the Speed Queen has been constructed to meet the stringent bluesign® criteria, climb on knowing your rope hasn't caused any unnecessary harm to the environment. Capable of being a half, single and twin rope the unit is ideal for both mountaineering and ski touring in addition to classic rock climbing.
