About the Volkl Kendo 88
The Kendo 88 is a piste-based all-mountain ski that is sure to take the mountains by storm for another season.
Stability at speed is hugely important for riders looking to notch up their skiing miles. Therefore, the Kendo skis are fully reinforced by two sheets of titanal which dampens chatter and strengthens the ride. A stiff ski allows the user to really press against the edge and get into a strong turn. Furthermore, the Kendo skis have a full sidewall which helps transfer all of the power onto the snow, this is especially useful on the piste.
In modern skiing, 90mm is widely accepted as the go-to width for all-mountain skis. As its name suggests, this Kendo model has a width of 88mm, which gives enough float for playful powder turns, without taking away the agility needed to impress on the piste.
These skis feature a rockered tip which really comes in clutch when venturing off-piste and a slight rise in the tail which helps when it comes to exiting a tight turn. Advanced riders will be able to take full advantage of the Kendo skis, however, they're also a great choice for ambitious intermediates looking to progress across the entire resort.
