About the Wechsel Exogen 2
The Exogen 2 from Wechsel is a freestanding geodesic two-man tent crafted for fast and light bike packing missions and high-mileage trail hikes where low pack weight is key.
The Exogen 2 is a two person tent built for 3-season camping and hiking. The aluminium poles provide a strong, free-standing structure with three-season stability. The Exogen 2 tent is quick and easy to pitch with the added benefit of two vestibules which provide extra space for comfort and ease of movement and allows for storage space outside of the main sleeping area. For very light weather protection, the fly sheet can be set up by using the footprint (not included) for summer camping and hiking.
On the inside, there's room for 2 persons with two doors providing hassle-free access and protection from changeable winds. The inner tent is also equipped with a mosquito mesh in the doors as well as at the foot and head which allow bug-free ventilation and moisture management in warmer weather. A vestibule that is formed by the extra pole gives you added storage space for packs and footwear. Finished with internal pockets to help organise smaller essentials.
As part of the Zero G line, the Exogen 2 features the highest-performance fabrics with an ultralight 20D ripstop nylon flysheet with taped seams and silicone/PU treatment for lasting rain protection. The floor is made from a tough 30D ripstop nylon for a great balance of low weight and high durability, waterproof to 5000mm HH.
Packing size is optimised for bikepacking, with a packed size of 45cm that fits well in a handlebar roll. Carry bag is variable in length and by removing the poles, the length of the carry bag is reduced to 25cm. This way the bag contains only the inner and outer tent. The poles can be stowed separately where they possibly fit better.
The Exogen 2 is for light bike packers, fast trekkers and wild campers looking for a technical backpacking shelter in an ultralight design for 3-season camping and hiking.
