The Monterosa snowshoe from Grivel is a highly functional 3 piece snowshoe that is designed to excel at floating on top of powder snow on the approach to climbs or steep mountain descents.
An hourglass shape aids in floatation whilst providing enough surface area to be manoeuvrable when on ridgelines. Whilst designed primarily for deep power the unit features two toe spikes that allow for improved purchase on hardpack ice. For reliability, the Monterosa uses a metal heel lift in oppose to plastic for improved durability during colder conditions. The entire set is supplied with a zippered bag for transport and storage.
Named after the Italian locality of the Monterosa valley famed for its winter snowfall, the Grivel Monterosa snowshoe.
Adjustable in size and comes in two sizes in different colours so that they can easily be told apart.
