About the Elan Ripstick 96
The Ripstick freeride ski series from Elan is designed and built to handle the most challenging terrain in any snow condition. With a lightweight design strengthened by carbon rods and fiberglass, the end result is a high-performance ski with uncompromised versatility and smooth performance. The Ripstick 96 is an awarding ski for its incredibly smooth ride and extensive versatility, with a 96mm waist its wide enough tackle powder, yet narrow enough to grip and rip on the piste.
The whole Ripstick range uses Carbon Line Technology, an innovative blend of materials to get the best balance between lightweight construction with power and performance. Carbon reinforcement is placed over the inside edge of the ski providing more power in the turn, whilst carbon rods are inserted into the wood core maximising stability and overall weight saving. The reduced weight means this ski is high maneuverable to navigate obstacles all over the mountain but can still charge fast down a freeride line.
The Ripstick series are designed for skiers that seek exceptional performance while exploring all the mountain has to offer. The Tubelite woodcore is made up of carbon tubes inserted into the wooden laminate running the length of the ski, providing torsional rigidity and rebound to transfer energy efficiently between turns. To help the turning experience the Ripstick has an SST sidewall construction for subline edge grip on any terrain.
The Ripstick 96 is for the intermediate to expert skiers who want a ski that screams versatility. It is the perfect choice to use every day, for every turn shape, and every condition.
