Trangia are famous for their range of alcohol-burning portable stove sets. Designed primarily for backpackers, Trangia stoves offer maximum versatility and wind protection at a relatively low weight and affordable price. The design of the stove system allows for all components to fit inside one another for a readily portable camp cooking system.

The Trangia 27-1 delivers a compact design for 1-2 backpackers for home-cooked meals on the trail. Constructed from an ultralight aluminium alloy the system is 50% stronger and significantly lighter than standard aluminium. The alloy conducts heat throughout allowing for efficient cooking and minimising fuel.

The 27-1 cook set features an array of utensils for complete versatility on the trail. Two ultralight 1L aluminium pots (one graded and one ungraded) can be used for boiling water for pasta or sauces. An additional 18 cm ultralight aluminium frying pan is great for morning fry-ups and doubles as a lid for the pots. A lightweight handle can be used to manipulate the hot pots and pans when cooking.

Adhering to their classic design, the stove is powered by a complete spirit burner. This alcohol-burning stove is silent with no moving parts and is one of the simplest most reliable stoves on the market. A simmering ring can be used to control the height and ferocity of the flame when lit to optimise cooking versatility from boil to simmer.

For wind protection and to provide a stand for pots the system features a two-part windshield which not only protects the flame of the Spirit Burner but focuses and condenses the heat emitted for more efficient cooking.

Transportation is facilitated by stacking all units of the set into the lower part of the windshield and the included nylon strap secures the units completely together, for ease of transport.

The 27-1 is an all-encompassing stove system designed to be used by either a pair or a solo backpacker heading off on a camping trip. The set enables users to cook with a diverse range of utensils from a package barely larger than a standard camping pot.
