About the Nordisk Otra 2 PU
The Nordisk Otra 2 PU tent is a spacious backpacking shelter with a semi-geodesic dome construction and ability to sleep two people but hold up to four individuals for socialising.
The Otra 2 tent provides plenty of space for kit storage, meal prep, and riding out bad weather. Steep walled pole architecture optimises the inner tent for comfortable headroom and foot space. A vestibule on both sides gives you plenty of extra storage space and room for food prep and there is also a ceiling storage net for vital bits of gear such as torches.
The two-door design offers hassle-free access while all four sides of the rainfly can be opened up allowing for a 360° panoramic view - ideal for opening up in warm weather to soak in the landscape. No-See-Um Mesh sidewalls add privacy and create multiple options for ventilation, temperature regulation, and bug protection. The inner cabin can also be pitched as a stand-alone bug shelter, while the rainfly can be pitched with the included footprint for minimalist camping trips where conditions allow.
The Otra 2 rainfly features a waterproof PU coating of 3000mm and a new rip-stop polyester fabric that gives the tent added tensile strength. The tough Oxford polyester floor delivers 8000mm water resistance. The Otra 2 has undergone Nordisk’s own wind tunnel test for verification of tent stability and is capable of withstanding winds up to 40 m/s.
