The Hi-Country & Hell-Bound mixes classic Vans style with state-of-the-art features and tech to deliver a high-end, all-mountain/backcountry/park boot that won't disappoint you. This edition is the boot of choice for pro rider Sam Taxwood.
The Hi-Country & Hell-Bound gives riders the option to custom tune the flex of these boots thanks to Vans' Flex Control System. By choosing the arrangement of the two removable internal tongue stiffeners, the rider can choose to maximise support by leaving both in and increase lateral and medial response by using one, and for a softer boot with more flex remove both. This gives you the option of a softer flexing boot that is great for all-mountain riding and a medium/stiff boot that is great for freeride and backcountry riding. The Flex Control System also ensures a consistent and smooth flex without the boot's shell interfering.
The Hi-Country & Hell-Bound has been fitted with Vans' top liner - the V3 UltraCush Liner, which is fully heat-mouldable for a perfect fit. The adjustable/removable X-Cage keeps your foot locked down to eliminate heel lift and maximise response and control, whilst the closed-seam microsuede cuff and tongue together with the Comfort Flex toe box offer unbeatable comfort from the first lift until the last.
The V3 Liners have been updated with North Face Flashdry tech to create a liner with advanced breathability capabilities to keep your feet dry, reducing discomfort when riding for more extended periods. The waterproof zipper shroud is a durable and weatherproof fabric shield that protects the lower part of the boot from snow, ice, and moisture, ensuring easy access to your no matter what the weather throws at you. It also features a metal D-ring for securely fastening your pant gaiters to lock out snow.
Finished off with an outer construction which is treated to give a durable, waterproof upper that also looks amazing, a comfy V3 PopCush Footbed, a grippy V3 Waffle Outsole and breathable valves, the Hi-Country & Hell-Bound represent the pinnacle of dynamics and performance from Vans and is a must-have for advanced riders who want customisable boots.
