In 1992, skaters came together and crafted the world's finest skate shoe using just scissors and duct tape. By cutting down their shoes, they created a design that propelled skateboarding in their desired direction, thus giving birth to the Half Cab. Over the following three decades, skaters have continuously pushed the boundaries. Now, we introduce the Skate Half Cab '92, an innovative take on a skate classic.
This redesigned version of the Skate Classics Half Cab '92 has been meticulously tailored to cater specifically to skaters, offering everything they need for optimal progress. Subtle enhancements like the new sidewall finish, checkerboard flag, and prominent "Skateboarding" branding elevate the iconic style. The upper has undergone a complete overhaul, featuring a molded heel counter, secure tongue straps, and a recut of the DURACAP™ underlay, providing a crucial fit that enhances breathability and durability where it matters most.
The two-part foxing, along with a tougher toe knurl, ensures heightened board contact, while the renowned gum rubber sole by Vans has been further improved with the addition of the SickStick™ rubber compound and an internal heel shank. This results in enhanced grip, boardfeel, support, and durability. The upgraded design is completed with uppers made entirely from 100% pig leather.
