About the MSR Front Range

The MSR (Mountain Safety Research) Front Range Tarp Shelter gives you an ultralight and hugely versatile camping shelter for fast-moving overnighters where a low pack-weight is key.

This waterproof tarpaulin stows small with a packed weight of just under 1kg and coverage for up to 4-persons with a peak height of 5'4" and steep canopy walls for ample interior space. It offers all-season protection from the elements with high-performance Xtreme Shield™ waterproof coating for long-term durability.

The Front Range shelter includes a zippered door for access and pitches using a ski/trekking pole or similar accessory pole (sold separately). Includes ski straps for ease of assembly. A supremely versatile design that also works as a featherweight dining hall, emergency shelter or for added gear storage on longer camping trips. The optional Bug/Floor Insert turns the shelter into a double-wall tent adding protection for mud and mosquito season (sold separately).
