About the MSR DynaLock Ascent

The DynaLock Ascent Carbon Backcountry Poles give you a lightweight and robust pair of poles built for fast-moving adventures into challenging terrain.

The design offers 20cm of length adjustment in a 3-section Kevlar-reinforced carbon shaft connected via a high tensile shock cord. MSR's DynaLock mechanism delivers a secure, non-slip hold with a quick dial for tightening or loosening the clamping force as desired.

Built for a compact size, the DynaLock Ascent touring poles (small size) fold down to a travel-friendly 36.2 cm - ideal for carrying in a backpack or hand luggage. An integrated velcro tab gives you a quick stowing option when not in use.

Engineered for ski and split-boarding tours and mountaineering, the MSR DynaLock Ascents give you the strength and stability to meet the demands of fast and light winter ascents and descents.
